What We Do

We research the Indian Consumer, the Indian Market and the Indian Production System. 

A great part of intellectual effort in India has been to devoted towards a global audience, e.g. , to understand the global customer, to work and develop for the global market etc.  As an example, export product quality is often considered better than domestic product quality. Similarly, a large part of academic research effort in the country is focused on publishing in global journals. However, in this process, there is a worry that the Indian consumer, the Indian market, and possibly the Indian product system is lagging behind. The focus of our research is to put the Indian consumer, the Indian market and the Indian production system at the center to find ways to solve its problems and work towards contributing in its development into a more advanced system.

One of our main goals is to publish research reports related to consumers and markets.

Production Systems

A second goal is to publish research on product development, manufacturing, & logistics of goods and services in the Indian context.

We appreciate the developments society and the world has made in areas ranging from physical sciences, engineering, technology to study of consumers, markets and production systems. We aim to facilitate education that carries the conversation forward in these areas.

Household and individual consumers, along with firms are also involved in production. Production of goods and services that get sold in the markets.  A production system provides the structure and process to transform the input in form of individual effort, and other raw materials into finished goods & services.
